About Our Client
Our client, a global industrial 3PL contract logistics company is hiring a successful Business Development Director, with a very strong will to develop their sales in a competitive market. He/She will develop and grow the company's business activities and revenue from new and existing market segments and channels.
- Directly in charge of the business development strategies and creates annual business development plans to reach required business objectives and revenue
- Will develop the sales of the following industrial logistic solutions : supply, warehousing and distribution infrastructure, including procurement, postponement activities and inventory control policies covering mainly three areas; the inbound and internal supply chain, outbound logistics, and reverse logistics for mainly industrial clients.
- Analyses request for proposals, collects additional information whenever necessary and sets up the solution design teams to meet the deadlines with the support of the Solution engineering department, IT, HR and Legal.
- Conducts monthly pipeline build and business opportunity reviews with VP Business Development within the region and communicates projects status and requirements to the Solutions Director
The Successful Applicant
- Min. 8-10 years proven success selling complex Logistics & SC Services for major 3PL - possibly within specific service offerings (Inbound, Spare parts and aftermarket, MRO, Assembly line, finished products distribution.. etc …) within the following specific industries: Automotive, Industrial, Aeronautics or High Technology/Electronic
- Excellent in building C-level relationships
- Deep understanding of very complex logistics solutions and customer and marketplace needs
- Sound strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit; proven problem-solving ability and analytical mind-set
- Self-starter with passion for Sales/BD; hands-on experience
- Internal relationship builder (works closely with solutions and engineering to create complex solutions for clients); strong ability to work across functions (IT, HR, Logistics solutions Engineering, operations or Legal departments) and to gain buy-in
- Able to generate leads and close deals thanks to a highly personal professional network and recognized reputation.
- French/Dutch/English speaker is a must
