About Our Client
Our client is a Lifestyle Apparel Brand with a strong presence in Europe and the United States. The Brand is supported and owned by the group who has a successful track record in developing and growing their portfolio of Brands.
The products are one of the growing segments in the fashion industry and the Brand is perfectly placed to go to the next level.
To cope with their aggressive expansion plan, a rare opportunity has now arisen for a seasoned commercial and retail professional to join the business in their Hong Kong Headquarter.
Based in the Hong Kong headquarter and leading a team of 100 staff across all commercial and operational functions of the business, the successful candidate will be responsible for growing the Brand globally.
- Responsible for growing the Brand business globally
- Develop and implement strategic business plans in achieving sales targets, maximizing sales opportunities and strengthening the Brand
- Monitor and analyse market trends and identify opportunities for growth
- Lead and develop the team and ensure an optimal organizational set up is in place
- Work with the team in building effective work processes and ensure consistency and best practices across regions
- Manage the overall business to deliver operating profit, product management and distribution strategy
You will be expected to develop and implement global and local strategies to drive sales as well as marketing initiatives aimed at raising the Brand profile and value proposition across the region.
You will lead and nurture the team to build a strong sales culture across all business units whilst ensuring consistency and best practices are met across the region.
You will be responsible for evaluating market trends and developing best practices to improve operational efficiency of the brand. With the support from your team, you will have to monitor and analyse changes in sales patterns and recommend pricing adjustments and/or merchandising accordingly.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a degree holder with a minimum of 15 years' solid retail experience from international fashion, apparel or retail brands and at least 10 years in a leadership role.
You should have solid experience as part of the management team in headquarter of an international brand and possess a demonstrated track record of growing and sustaining sales growth for the business in a global or regional capacity.
The successful candidate will have managed profit and loss with retail businesses and have a strong knowledge of new market and consumer trends. You should also have a strong knowledge of different distribution channels including retail, wholesale and e-commerce platforms.
You should be a strategic yet hands-on, results driven, commercially sound, and persistent individual with the ability to lead effectively in a fast paced, team environment. This is a leadership role that requires an entrepreneurial minded professional to navigate the business successfully through high level industry networks and motivating the team effectively.
