Job Description

I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Director Digital Markets Regulation with a regulator (12 month FTC) You will be:

  • Taking a leading role in delivering case and project work in digital markets, working closely with colleagues across the organisation
  • Leading work to develop the policy, guidance and legislative framework for the new Digital Markets Unit and pro-competition regime, working closely with government, providing expertise and advice based on the organisations knowledge and experience.
  • Leading work with colleagues from across the organisation to ensure the DMU's operational readiness to take on the new pro-competition regime.
  • Leading work to establish the DMU as a centre of excellence in digital markets, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and building knowledge and expertise.

The Successful Applicant

You will have:

  • Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to successfully deliver results, working within challenging timescales and taking responsibility for quality outcomes.
  • Significant experience leading the development of strategic relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including those with competing agendas and priorities and from other professional backgrounds.
  • Significant experience taking complex decisions, drawing on analysis of a wide range of information to support a broad understanding of the wider context and balancing different views and perspectives.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to a range of audiences and secure buy-in to ideas, including developing and delivering presentations and materials for external publication.
