Job Description

As Business Development Manager, varied responsibilities include:

  • Varied marketing support to the M&A Practice Group: preparing pitches, coordinating and running events, award submissions, market research, client database management, competitor analysis, website updates.
  • Serving as the primary BD point of contact for the M&A Practice Group, you will attend frequent internal practice group meetings to ensure the group has all required marketing resources.
  • Drafting and finalizing pitches and client proposals.
  • Working on marketing plans, event planning and execution and liaising with the PR/ Communications team.
  • Assisting with client events and sponsorship opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

As Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will offer demonstrable experience:

  • 7+ years business development experience (5+ years must be within a reputable boutique, mid-size or big law, law firm).
  • M&A Practice Group support experience within a law firm beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent written communications.
  • Highly organized, strong team player.
  • Personable, pragmatic, delivery focused.
  • Degree in Marketing or related discipline preferred.
  • Must be able to work for the Midtown, NYC office, 3 days per week.

  • Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 PA depending on experience
