We are seeking an experienced Fragrance Category Manager to lead the fragrance category strategy within the industrial/manufacturing sector. The role is based in Shanghai and involves managing product portfolios, market analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Job Description

1.Strategy: Develop regional action plans; align with local management on revenue/profit targets; ensure global-regional strategy synergy; track execution effectiveness.
2.Sales: Collaborate on category business plans; support new business development; review sales activities and budgets; drive SLA implementation for key clients; upskill sales teams with category expertise.
3.Finance:Take full accountability for the Beauty Care category's turnover and profitability.
4.People Management:drive cross-functional teams (China/Korea); set clear objectives and timelines; foster team culture, reduce turnover; promote regional-global communication.
5.Marketing: Gain local market insights; leverage global assets for synergy; develop priority marketing content; allocate SLA-aligned marketing budgets; build tools and share practices/expertise.
6.Evaluation: Drive the evaluation team for business-focused results; enhance collection capabilities; inspire creative teams; boost client adoption rates via category expertise.
7.Market Research:Build a global-regional CI pipeline (quant/qual research); collaborate with CI teams and validate budgets; decode consumer insights to drive business strategies; communicate research results to stakeholders.
8.Expertise & Project Development:Oversee proactive project pipelines; prioritize must-win projects and optimize resource use; roll out global initiatives; coordinate with global Beauty Care teams.

  • A strategic person with strong business acumen and a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Passionate about the beauty and personal care industry, with a keen understanding of market trends and consumer needs.
  • A collaborative networker with a relationship-focused mindset, capable of influencing and partnering with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possesses an international mindset and strong intercultural competence.
  • An entrepreneurial, business-driven professional who combines creativity with a results-oriented, team-player attitude.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate market trends and business opportunities clearly and persuasively.
  • Solid understanding of R&D processes within the fragrance or beauty industry.
  • Proficiency in consumer insight tools and the ability to interpret research data to drive business decisions.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the fragrance, branded FMCG, or related industries.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages (Chinese or French) is considered a significant advantage.
