Our client is a small Italian company operating in the industrial sector, specifically in plant engineering, backed by an investor aiming to build an aggregated industrial hub with a long-term growth vision.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the company's administrative, accounting, tax, and management control functions;
  • Supervise the integration of operational activities and reporting across subsidiaries, in line with the fund's governance principles;
  • Create and manage a structured management control system, including analytical accounting and reporting models, and implement a CRM for budgeting, performance monitoring, and strategic support;
  • Prepare financial statements and monthly economic, asset, and financial reports;
  • Analyze budget variances and implement corrective actions within the scope of responsibility;
  • Oversee treasury and optimize group financial management, including cash flows, working capital control, investment activities, and net financial position management, including acquisition financing;
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, preparing financial documentation and ensuring compliance with contractual clauses;
  • Interact with the CEO, Board of Directors, and new shareholders to define strategic objectives and corporate/function budgets;
  • Support operational and industrial functions in the economic-financial analysis of development projects, investments, and extraordinary transactions;
  • Assist management in M&A activities and post-acquisition integration processes;
  • Manage relationships with consulting and auditing firms;
  • Participate in shareholder meetings, board meetings, and executive committees, preparing and presenting supporting documentation;
  • Draft meeting minutes, manage corporate books and meeting notices;
  • Provide support on personnel-related matters;
  • Manage risks, including through insurance contract subscription and management;
  • Implement corporate governance frameworks (231, GDPR, ESG reporting);

The Successful Applicant

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Solid experience as Chief Financial Officer with strong expertise in administration, finance, and control;
  • Previous experience in entrepreneurial environments, ideally mid-sized companies backed by private equity funds;
  • Direct experience in extraordinary transactions (acquisitions and divestitures) within PE-backed companies, including M&A/buy & build operations;
  • Experience in implementing and managing the full management control cycle, consolidated financial statements, and group administrative-accounting processes;
  • Knowledge of OIC and IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting for investment funds;
  • Experience in managing financing contracts and structured finance instruments;
  • Ability to lead and develop administrative teams, ensuring process efficiency and consistency;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels, with a proactive approach to engaging with entrepreneurs, investors, and institutional stakeholders;
  • Pragmatic, collaborative, results-oriented, and problem-solving mindset, with strong analytical skills and a flexible, proactive attitude;
  • Preferably knowledgeable in legal, tax, and corporate matters;
  • Experience with advanced ERP systems and integrated reporting tools is a plus;
  • Fluent in English.
