Job Description

Reporting to the Regional CFO its main responsibilities are:

REPORTING

The CFO will establish reporting requirements with the GM and BU Managers and ensure the delivery of all relevant, accurate and timely management information and analysis. This includes approval of the related financial reporting and commentary provided to Group and Region Finance. He will manage their team to prepare ad hoc commercial and operational reporting and analysis as required by the Country.

DECISION SUPPORT

The CFO will support the creation of the overall country strategy and work with the GM to drive performance towards delivery of the agreed plans. The CFO will take a lead in the development and approval of annual financial plans, budget and forecasts, and provide inputs to the BU business strategies. Planning will ensure that resources are allocated across the organisation in a prioritised way and with regards to maximising organisation and cost effectiveness. The CFO will take a lead in developing and approving the financial aspects of any business cases, acquisitions and capital investments to ensure that they are commercially and financially sound, tax compliant and submitted in accordance with relevant regional, national and regulatory deadlines. As required, the CFO will play a key role in supporting the country projects, particularly to advise on financial matters and to ensure consistency with the financial plans of the division. Assisting in the process of due diligence in the case of acquisitions or mergers will be periodically required.

GENERAL ACCOUNTING & RISK MANAGEMENT
The CFO will ensure that financial and fiscal statutory reporting is approved and delivered according to group accounting policies and local statutory and fiscal requirements and will maintain full awareness of all current local tax and fiscal reporting requirements. The CFO will work with internal audit to ensure that an effective system of internal control is in place that gives assurance sufficient to enable approval of the financial results and reduce business risk. The CFO will ensure that agreed external audit requirements are delivered.

COMMERCIAL ANALYSIS

The CFO will ensure the success of the delivery of commercial plans and targets, including working with the teams to deliver accurate and insightful reporting and analysis of commercial results (sales & margin etc). Processes will be established and maintained to review customer account profitability that highlight low or unprofitable accounts, and strategies developed to drive improvement. The CFO will be involved in key commercial decisions, including pricing and commercial terms and conditions, and will work alongside the operations and finance to evaluate cash collection performance and be involved in any related key decisions. As required, the CFO will assist in addressing and resolving problems with bad debt and cash collection. The CFO will work alongside purchasing and country operations to assess supplier base and conduct contract evaluations with a view to optimising costs/service for all bought-in services and supplies.

MANAGEMENT OF THE COUNTRY FINANCE TEAM & SYSTEMS

The CFO will provide leadership, guidance and performance management of the country Finance teams; carrying out appraisals, creating and supporting personal development plans and setting SMART objectives and targets. In addition, as a key member of the Regional finance team, the CFO will work with Regional and country finance teams to promote the development of efficient and effective finance system(s) and processes.

The Successful Applicant

Industrial Civil Engineer, Commercial Engineer or CPA

At least 7 years of professional experience as CFO in multinational companies

Experience in industrial companies

Solid knowledge in Finance & Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, IFRS, Reporting, IT and ERP.

Solid leadership skills, good team worker and business partner

Change management skills and driver of transformations to promote efficiencies and effectiveness

Fluent level of English
