Our client is a leading Italian company operating in the fashion industry backed by a PE fund.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO, the selected professional will be an integral part of a development project focused on seeking new economies of both scale and scope.

The CFO will be tasked with proactively developing and leading the Finance and Control function by monitoring processes, procedures, and activities.

The CFO will support the Management Team in strategic decision-making and achieving corporate objectives.

Additionally, the new CFO will:

  • Supervise the process flow of management control, starting from the structuring of a cost accounting and reporting model oriented towards budgeting and performance monitoring, as well as supporting corporate strategy.
  • Manage relationships with credit institutions, cash flows (through the monitoring of working capital and investment activities), and the Net Financial Position.
  • Prepare budget projects and develop monthly (in the long term) economic, financial, and balance sheet reports for the company.
  • Interact with the CEO, Board of Directors, and shareholders to define and share the business performance, as well as corporate and departmental goals and budgets.
  • Measure the company's performance using reporting tools, and analyse variances from the budget, implementing corrective actions where possible and within their competence.
  • Ensure administrative and accounting processes, procedures, and activities, guaranteeing compliance with administrative, accounting, and tax obligations.
  • Manage relationships with consulting firms, auditing firms, and legal advisors.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, or equivalent qualifications;
  • At least 15 years of prior experience (essential), with at least 5 in the role of Chief Financial Officer, gained within companies with significant managerial complexity, where strong administrative/financial skills were acquired;
  • Competence in IFRS; Active participation in extraordinary operations, both entry and exit; participation in the exit of a company owned by a private equity fund will be considered a preferred requirement;
  • Familiarity with the fashion industry dynamics;
  • Excellent knowledge and ability to manage the entire management control cycle;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all corporate levels;
  • Expertise in legal, tax, and corporate matters;
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with advanced ERP systems is preferred;
  • Fluent in English
