Page Executive is supporting the search of Chief Executive Officer for a leading biotechnology company headquartered in Shanghai committed to bringing innovative science and medicines to underserved Chinese patients with serious and life-threatening diseases. Backed by global fund, the company was founded in 2019 and partners with global biotechnology companies to develop and commercialize novel, innovative therapeutics to treat unmet medical needs.
Job Description
- Creating, communicating, and implementing the organization's vision, mission, and overall direction
- Leading the development and implementation of the overall organization's strategy
- Soliciting advice and guidance, when appropriate, from a Board of Directors
- Formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business or organization.
- Overseeing the complete operation of an organization in accordance with the direction established in the strategic plans
- Evaluating the success of the organization in reaching its goals
- Looking at potential acquisitions or the sale of the company under circumstances that will enhance shareholder value
- Representing the organization for civic and professional association responsibilities and activities
- Participating in industry-related events or associations that will enhance the CEO's leadership skills, the organization's reputation, and the organization's potential for success.
The Successful Applicant
- 15+ years' experience in pharma/biotech executive leadership positions
- Demonstrated ability to network and influence external stakeholders towards shared goal and achieving results
- Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Entrepreneurial background; previous C-level experience in biotech preferred
- Fund-raising expertise (front line) or at least very closely with CEO/CFO
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Established track record in deal making experience with a clear record of results and ultimate transactional responsibility
- Demonstrated expertise in the drug discovery and drug development process
- Build productive work relationships both internally and externally
- Industry experience in BD&L and/or project management
- Excellent industry and investor network
- Be able to travel and manage a demanding schedule
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English language capability
