Job Description

This role combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and team management to drive the organisation's mission and goals.

  • Define and communicate the organisation's vision and mission, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Inspire and guide staff, volunteers, and stakeholders while representing the organisation at national and international levels.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, adapting to sector trends and challenges.
  • Build strong relationships with members, accountancy institutions, and development partners to meet their needs and advance objectives.
  • Organise impactful events, create thought leadership content, and deliver effective member communications.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of inclusively and collaboration.
  • Oversee governance, compliance, and financial sustainability, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Experience with professional service organisations, especially in accounting, highly regulated industries, associations, or NGOs, is a plus. Leadership experience with a proven track record of driving and advocating for key initiatives is preferred.
  • Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead diverse teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to develop and execute plans aligned with organisational goals.
