For this mandate, we are searching for the Chief Executive Officer who will be responsible for leading FIDIC's mission and strategic objectives.Job DescriptionBuilding a focused, aligned, achieving and effective teamManaging FIDIC to achieve its objectives, plans and budgetsEnsuring compliance with the FIDIC's statutes and bylaws and appropriate governance of FIDICs activitiesExecuting a 5-year Strategic Plan, while ensuring that human and budgetary resources are efficiently managedGrowing revenue and services while maintaining affordability of membership fees;Developing annual business plans and budgets for consideration by the FIDIC BoardAchieving profit-and-loss and cash management outcomes in line with budgets and forecastsBuilding FIDICs brand internationally through multiple media and social networking channelsPreparing FIDIC's global framework industry policies and position statementsCommunicating regularly with members and stakeholders on industry performance and challenges;Executing decisions made by the FIDIC Board in terms of the agreed scope, work plan and budget;Enhancing the outreach of FIDIC by reaching out to other players in the infrastructure sector such as contractors, developers, mining companies, insurance companies etc.Preparing documents and contributing appropriately to meetings of the FIDIC Board, FIDIC General Assembly Directors and Secretaries and other FIDIC meetings as appropriate;Representing FIDIC externally and with stakeholders such as the multi-lateral development banksThe Successful Applicant10+ years of relevant experience. Have proven leadership and managerial skills, and experience at an executive levelBackground in consulting engineering and/or have experience working in non- profit international organizations is preferred but not requiredHave a university degreeIn a politically sensitive environment, possess excellent negotiating, communication and cooperative working skillsHave a reasonable knowledge of FIDIC and/or the infrastructure sectorBe fluent in written and spoken English; a working knowledge in other languages will be an advantageWhat's on OfferAn opportunity to lead FIDIC's global strategy, enhancing its brand and value proposition across the consulting engineering and infrastructure sectors.
