Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsCFO will be part of the Executive Board for the Construction BusinessLead Finance Function and Partner with OperationsAbout Our ClientThe Chief Financial Officer - Construction will be a key part of the Executive Leadership group for one of North Carolina's top construction companies based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.Job DescriptionStrategic Leadership & PlanningPartner with the CEO and executive team to guide company strategy and growth initiatives.Develop long‑range financial and business plans aligned with market conditions and organizational goals.Provide actionable financial insights to support decision-making around project selection, capital allocation, and expansion opportunities. Financial Operations & ReportingOversee all accounting and finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, and audit.Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Establish and monitor KPIs to measure financial performance across company operations.Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost-control initiatives to ensure strong financial stability. Construction-Specific Financial OversightDirect job cost accounting, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, and project profitability analysis.Oversee contract financial review, billing, change orders, retention, and lien compliance.Collaborate with project managers and operations leaders to monitor job performance, budgets, and forecasting accuracy.Manage financial aspects of equipment fleets, capital expenditures, depreciation schedules, and asset utilization. Risk Management & ComplianceDevelop and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Oversee insurance programs, bonding capacity, and relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and bonding agents.Mitigate risks related to project execution, subcontractor exposure, materials cost fluctuations, and credit management.
