The company operates globally, serving patients and business partners in different markets worldwide. Their portfolio encompasses diverse therapeutic areas such as neurology, psychiatry, rheumatology, dermatology, anti-infection products and many others.

Job Description

  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager in Poland (dotted line reporting) and International Finance Director in HQ (solid line reporting) to align local financial goals with the overall company strategy
  • Provide valuable financial perspectives to support key executive decisions
  • Effectively communicate financial performance and strategies to stakeholders, , and board members
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external auditors, banks, key service providers in the G&A scope (leasing providers, telecoms, office landlord, etc)
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards, mitigating financial risks and upholding industry regulations
  • Streamline and improve financial and administrative processes for enhanced efficiency
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's overarching goals
  • Directly manage teams in controlling, accounting, fleet management, IT, and administration
  • Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
  • Regularly review expenses, assure adherence to budgets and identify areas for cost reduction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement efficiency enhancements
  • Foster the professional development of the finance and related teams; prepare development plans and annual targets for direct reports
  • Help identify and evaluate potential strategic partnerships including P&L and Cash Flow forecasts
  • Utilize project management principles to oversee new IT systems implementations, . e.g. SAP Hana
  • Take leading role in preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, multiannual plans, and ongoing monitoring of their implementation and analysis of deviations
  • Analyse profitability of total company and profitability by product (brand) and provide insights to the GM and upper managment
  • Take leading role in preparation of statements and reports for local and corporate needs, supervision over the process of data collection and consolidation
  • Take the lead during internal and external audits

The Successful Applicant

  • Over 10 years of experience in high-level managerial positions with responsibility for a broad spectrum of financial aspects
  • Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including a deep understanding of legal regulations and compliance, particularly in the reimbursed medicines and OTC segment
  • Proven experience in managing teams of 5+ individuals
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, MBA, or equivalent are desirable
  • Proven capability in identifying new development opportunities, , and contributing to the continued growth of the organization
  • Demonstrated skills in team support, expansion, and talent development
  • Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and other relevant software programs as nice to have
  • Familiarity with audit-related aspects, notably IFRS, and other financial standards
  • Experience in working with accounting, audit, and controlling functions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluent in English; spoken and written (for daily communication in English with HQ)
  • Track record of improving processes, implementing optimizations, and creating new efficiencies
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to make independent, key decisions
  • Flexible, open to change, able to multi-task and work under time pressure
