Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the organisation's financial stability and growth. This is a hands-on role where you will lead the transition of financial operations and build a high-performing finance team.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Collaborating with the Owner CEO and Executive Team to develop structures that foster effective executive relationships, promote a positive workplace culture, and achieve strategic goals.
  • Establish and maintain a direct relationship with the Board, providing strategic financial advice and analysis, focusing on both the operational and long-term financial health of the organisation.
  • Ensure that all internal and external accountabilities relating to the organisation's finances are met, timely and of a high standard. Ensuring compliance with all statutory and corporate governance procedures.
  • Lead financial planning processes and implement robust financial management systems to enhance efficiency, accountability, and decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance with financial reporting and tax obligations.
  • Development of a small finance team, coaching and mentoring for high performance.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for this CFO role will be a dynamic and ambitious finance professional ready to take on a pivotal leadership position. You should have:

  • Extensive senior finance experience with full responsibility for financial compliance.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills with significant interaction at the Executive level.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a high level of integrity and a results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with a proven track record of building and mentoring cohesive teams.
  • CA / CPA accounting qualification.
