Their European division has been a real success story. Headquartered in the UK they have a significant presence in a number of key European markets and have ambitious plans for further growth in new countries either as a direct operation or through strategic joint ventures.
Supporting the current MD, this key role will be accountable for developing and executing a strategic plan to significantly grow the business in the UK and Europe delivering tangible and measurable outcomes in line with the Groups overall objectives.
Primary accountability's include:
Ad-value to the culture of the business through being an inspirational people manager, work closely with the senior management team to ensure the ongoing investment and development of all employees.
Deliver growth from all commercial activity through identifying, building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. Creating long-term sales & marketing strategies to deliver effective products / solutions and market development.
Be a key influencer on a variety of business activities including production, packaging, warehousing, QA, QC, Sales & Marketing. Lead, manage and support all business areas effectively and control the day-to-day operations and assets to effectively deliver their objectives whilst also ensuring to seek continual improvement in line with the organisations philosophy. Be P&L accountable.
Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and legislation including health and safety, personnel, finance, administration, and regulatory frameworks.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful, you will have gained substantial senior leadership experience within a growth oriented generic pharmaceutical environment. With a broad background the successful candidate will need to be a true generalist with a strong operations / manufacturing experience combined with a thorough understanding of the commercial elements of the business, having delivered business profitability improvements and successful growth. Equally, European or international experience will be a significant advantage.
A creative thinker with the vision, determination and ability to translate the broad needs of a complex business into compelling and deliverable products. Naturally curious, a problem solver with a can do mind-set and hands on approach.
Proven experience of determining and successfully executing ambitious growth plans coupled with a track record in maximising both income and value.
An inspirational leader of people, able provide clear direction and both empower and motivate a diverse range of stakeholders in a global, matrix-ed environment. As the ambassador for the European organisation, you will need the credibility and gravitas to influence senior leaders across the business, including effective problem / issue resolution.
Experience of ensuring successful and sustainable customer partnerships and developing relationships and alliances that deliver business aims. Skilled at negotiating at all levels.
Ability to maximise the success of the business, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational performance. First class planning and prioritisation skills, financially astute with previous P&L experience, including setting, managing and monitoring complex budgets.
Be forward thinking and insightful, entrepreneurial in approach capable of creating a vision for the business and successfully influencing change.
What's on Offer
Up to £160,000 base salary + benefits, depending on experience
