The portfolio of businesses includes six hotels incorporating conference spaces, restaurants and bars in Melbourne, Geelong and Sydney. The portfolio also extends to retail space in the Melbourne CBD. Erdi Group has a focus on philanthropy and are passionate about running multiple programs to give back to the community.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the wider Executive Team and the Erdi Group board, this role manages Erdi Group's portfolio of hotels. This role's primary responsibility is to manage the day to day operations of the Hotel portfolio, supporting the team, managing budgets, overall financial and operational performance and oversight of day to day issues. The COO will also take a lead, along with the General Managers, of driving efficiencies within the division and driving relationships within the business. Finally, they shall drive and liaise with the CEO around medium to longer term strategic plans and decision making.
The Successful Applicant
The COO role is a broad and evolving role, with a suite of areas of responsibilities, and therefore requires an executive with a range of skills and experience. Firstly, you shall have strong experience across relevant sectors, within Hospitality, Retail, Consumer and Services based environments and related sectors all being seen as relevant. The successful candidate will also have strong cross functional experience of business functions, such as Finance, HR, IT and Marketing, with some depth across these areas seen as beneficial. It is also vital to be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and commercial skills with a proven track record of experience in high level, Operational Leadership roles relevant to this environment. Lastly, highly developed communication skills and demonstrable ability to network and liaise in both internal and external capacities will be essential for success in this role.
What's on Offer
The role offers an Executive level base salary and super with incentives. It is Melbourne based and will involve some interstate travel.
