About Our Client
The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) was established in 2013 as an independent statutory regulator for all heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass. Headquartered in Brisbane, NHVR is undertaking significant reform activities and growth through its national services transition program. This includes increasing its operational focus to improve safety and enhance productivity for the heavy vehicle industry.
Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is accountable for achieving NHVR's strategic and operational objectives through enabling customer-focused teams across the National Operations division.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Lead the National Operations division's workforce, embedding the NHVR's values and driving a high performance culture
* Champion an environment of innovation and continuous improvement to ensure sustainable solutions for service delivery focussed on the areas of Network Access, Customer Experience and Regional Operations, including on-road compliance
* Provide authoritative advice to the Board and CEO in relation to operational performance and customer service
* Develop and manage relationships with key agencies and industry stakeholders at national and jurisdictional level
* Lead, design and deliver best practice processes, controls and systems
* Comply with WHS legislation and promote a positive and safe workplace culture
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have proven executive leadership experience within a customer operational environment. With extensive change management, communication and negotiation skills, it is essential you have the ability to drive performance and build capability across a national platform. Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and a focus on design and delivery are essential in the successful execution of this role.
