The Country Head will lead business opportunities in China from sales strategy to overall sales operations responsibility, to boost revenue and growth.The successful candidate will build strong presence with a key focus with digital and ecommerce strategy and deep trust-relations with key partners in China-market and will invest in analyzing and seeking the optimal channels to grow sustainable sales and promote potential new opportunities.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement a data-driven overall business including digital strategy and potential offline business strategy for the China market, aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the China market especially in ecommerce and digital field but with a plan to increase wholesales ratio
  • Understand Brand strategies, identify new market opportunities, create China sales strategy and plan, implement plan and execute sales in China region
  • Create strong internal relations with relevant group brand functions to deliver brand sales strategy.
  • Build solid presence and long-term relationships with key leaders and distributors in the potential Chinese customers.
  • End-to-end sales process management, including negotiation and signing of agreements and contracts.
  • Lead the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including relevant e-commerce platforms (Taobao, JD Worldwide, Vipshop, Douyin, Xiaohongshu etc.), social media (WeChat, Weibo, etc.), and search engines (Baidu).
  • Manage and optimize our online presence on key platforms, including website localization and content creation tailored to the Chinese audience.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment with the digital strategy.
  • Oversee digital analytics and reporting, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and track progress.
  • Stay abreast of market trends in Chinese digital marketing, e-commerce, and social media

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 10 years of Business Development and 5 years country level leadership experience - proven track record in driving business growth of well known international apparel brands in China.
  • Successful track record in the fashion industry and Apparel/lingerie businesses - product understanding, brand-understanding
  • Existing network and connections and deep understanding of the China market (Brands, Retailers, customers, vendors, E-com, wholesale)
  • Experience working in retail multi-site locations throughout China. E-Commerce. Retail and wholesale understanding.
  • Growth mindset, sales orientation and Commercial thinking
  • Pro-active, independent and self-motivated person.
  • Creative thinking with operation abilities to execute.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of finance aspects, analytical skills
  • High level of negotiations skills
  • Result driven with Can-do approach, focused on targets and performance.
  • Flexible and agile - able to move fast.
  • Experienced in Matrix organization
