About Our Client
This is a leading Bakery Chain in China and a Billion RMB business, with over 500 outlets and own factories. To further strengthen their business, they are now looking for a strategic GM with solid F&B operations experience, preferably from the Bakery, Cafe or QSR sectors, and strong team management track record, to help drive growth/ expansion and profitability.
Job Description
- Direct and monitor the overall strategic and operational planning and execution to achieve optimal financial performance and competitive positioning of the chain
- Act as a change agent to continually transform the business, and to achieve business goals
- Establish and refine organisational plans, structures and responsibilities to optimise operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide overall direction on development and investment activities, including overseeing the planning, pricing and marketing strategies to maintain optimal returns
- Identify areas of potential improvement, including but not limited to cost reduction, program enhancement, process re-engineering, and policy changes
- Recommend and direct implementation of corrective action for problems identified
- Review and advise on the budget and resource plans, as well, the implementation and progress of key organisational activities regularly
- Oversee the functional coordination across different departments to ensure a synergic operation
- Represent the Group in networking and lobbying with key authorities, business partners, investment sources, industry organisations and the media
- Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and the team, and elevate their ability & performance
- Preform any adhoc responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate should be a Hospitality/ F&B Operations veteran with solid China market knowledge with hands-on experience working in China a must. Bakery industry knowledge is an advantage; otherwise, experience from F&B hospitality sector preferred.
- More than 15 years' operations/ management experience from related industry (Bakery, F&B)
- Proven track record managing high volume outlets and leading sizeable team with success
- Excellent market analytical skills and ability of resources integration
- Sound ability to influence executives and senior leaders on strategic level
- Change management expertise preferred
- Excellent communication & influencing skills with fluent spoken & written English and Mandarin a must
