About Our Client

Our client is a global business providing outsourced services for clients. The business operates in over 80 countries. The Mainland China business consists of approximately 500 people providing services across multiple service lines.

Job Description

To set commercial and operation plans for the Market and cascade business strategy;

Own P&L for the Market;

Oversee the Market management team, setting and delivering the Market strategy;

Ensure consistency in cross-country client service and drive performance improvements, leveraging resources across countries;

Initiate and drive client relationship programs within the Market;

Manage sales targets on Market level, actively driving sales;

Oversee all commercial activities driving client growth;

Demonstrate our values, driving our culture and employee engagement within the Market;

Hold client directorship roles where appropriate;

Manage relationships with auditors, feeders and local government as appropriate;

Oversee improvements in country KPIs within the Market, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to drive improvements where necessary.

Prepare a corporate plan and annual business plan and monitor progress against these plans to ensure that the company attains its objectives, whilst ensuring risks are identified and appropriately managed and that the integrity of the Company is maintained.

Establish an appropriate organisational structure, ensuring correct elements of oversight and control across the lines of defence, to ensure that client deliverables are met in accordance with internal policy and procedure.

Ensure the risk and compliance team remains independent, appropriately resourced, and has continuous access to the Board.

Represent the Company with discussions with regulatory authorities

Develop and maintain an effective marketing and public relations strategy to promote the products, services and image of the company in the wider community.

Ensure the Company develops and directs the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the company complies with relevant regulatory and other statutory regulations.

Develop a senior leadership team of complimentary skill and experience who act cohesively to deliver corporate plan and annual business plan.

The Successful Applicant

A seasoned commercial managing director or business lead with vision and experience in strategic management;

Proven experience within changing business environments, demonstrating the ability to achieve success via empowerment and managing accountability and responsibility at the right levels;

Experience lead large multi-cultural teams residing in multiple countries, demonstrating clear results and outcomes;

Ability to prioritise and manage all stakeholders while ensuring appropriate presence and focus for all the countries in Market

Has good knowledge of regulatory requirements

Seeks consultation where appropriate, to understand principles and meaning of regulatory requirements

Lead by example, always acting in a way that maintains the integrity of the Company

Demonstrates values of the Company through actions and messagingWill own and evolve the strategy for a significant part of the organisation, aligning it with the business'current needs and also taking into account the growing complexity and size of the organisation.

Ensures that commercial considerations and risks are fully considered in policy making, formation and delivery.

Able to draw on insights about the current and future dynamics in the economy to drive decision making and seize opportunities (e.g.developing new service lines, etc.).Lives the values of the organisation through management style.

Be known as an effective coach and sounding board for the 'Senior Management' cadre across the Group.

Creates and communicates a clear and compelling vision for a significant part of the organisation to team members.

Is a role model for organisational behaviours and attitudes. Inspires staff to engage fully with the vision and purpose of a significant part of the organisation.

Champions the strategic importance of people, talent management and development issues, building a strong culture of continuous learning.Able to convince and persuade the senior individuals both internally and externally in a diplomatic way.

Build a strong network of collaborative relationships and partnerships across industry to help achieve business objectives.

Can operate tactfully; able to present and defend complicated or delicate issues with ease.

Will own and evolve the strategy for client excellence, aligning it with the business' current needs and also taking into account the growing complexity and demands of the market.
