Job Description

Business Performance

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of overall commercial, supply chain, financial, quality, HR, legal, risk related activities, government relationships and people.
  • Be accountable for implementing and achieving strategic growth plans across Greater China; focusing on both short and long term strategies.
  • Ensuring that strategies are translated into tactical business plans and key performance indicators that can be monitored for progress and success.
  • Make key decisions that take into account the values, strategic vision and overall risk to the business unit
  • Coordinate and maximise key business and operational processes to ensure the most effective use of time and resources across all business units; drive both innovation and transformation across the organisation
  • Continuously review and report on overall business performance against key indicators and objectives; make strategic decisions and necessary changes to ensure business progress is in line with the strategic plan
  • Build strong relationships with key external stakeholders, government, principals, customers to ensure correct focus and direction for the operations and technology level.

  • Work in close partnership with all functional key stakeholders, ensuring full transparency, on-going reporting and open communication at all times.
  • Lead, inspire and mentor a diverse team of high calibre professionals through building team capabilities, providing opportunities for career development and progression and building a succession pipeline for key roles.
  • Drive sustainable improvement and raise the standards of performance, collaboration, engagement, as well as speed and accuracy of delivery.
  • Instil a culture of accountability, transparency and good practice as well as continuous improvement, responsiveness, customer focus and stakeholder engagement.
  • Create a vision for the business unit and articulate transparent goals and targets to the team members.

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum 15 years experience at GM / Head level within a global business in a regional role with full P&L management responsibilities
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance or other relevant industry
  • Extensive experience in the FMCG (food/beverage preferred) having worked for global brands and/or distributors
  • Demonstrable track record of success leading significant business growth with a key focus on strategy, branding, sales and marketing
  • Exceptional financial and commercial acumen
  • Strong leadership and management skills based on values
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Capability to build strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across different cultures
  • Deep understanding of trends and key business and success drivers in FMCG
  • Energy, pace and enthusiasm to work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluent English and Mandarin is a must
