Job Description

  • Lead the design, execution, and oversight of Phase 3 clinical trials in metabolic diseases, primarily targeting Diabetes and Obesity.
  • Develop and implement the global clinical development strategy in collaboration with regulatory, medical affairs, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader and key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including CROs, KOLs, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide scientific and clinical leadership in protocol development, medical monitoring, data review, and regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and compliance with ICH-GCP and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to IND, NDA, and other key regulatory filings and health authority interactions, especially in multi-regional trial settings.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing clinical team members and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Clinical Operation Vice President' should have

  • MD (preferred) or PhD in life sciences or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of industry experience in clinical development, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and executing Phase 3 clinical trials for Diabetes and/or Obesity.
  • Proven experience with global or multi-regional clinical trials (MICT).
  • Deep understanding of metabolic disease pathophysiology, standard of care, and regulatory landscape.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience influencing executive-level decisions and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to New Jersey; domestic and international travel as required
