Job Description

  • Lead a diverse commercial team.
  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy and implementation plan aligned with the overall commercial strategy.
  • Manage and supervise the commercial team in the Benelux region
  • Resolve challenging situations with customers and develop strong executive-level relationships.
  • Deliver revenue and sales plans for profitability and growth.
  • Accountable for the development and execution of the business plan, providing strategic support through market information gathering and analysis.
  • Write commercial contracts that align with business goals and marketing initiatives, supporting pricing objectives and policies established by marketing.
  • Identify areas of growth with existing and potential customers.
  • Serve as a key member of the Management Team for Benelux.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong commercial background with experience in defending and winning new business.
  • Experience with private label business, commodity understanding, price sensitivity, and fluctuation-driven markets, with the ability to handle large volumes.
  • Ability to fix prices with big retailers and collaborate with the local team for future market trends, ensuring clarity for the procurement team.
  • Hands-on mentality suitable for a non-complicated company structure.
  • Ability to work at a peer level, finding local solutions and escalating only when necessary, while balancing with the manufacturing site. Open-mindedness and understanding of factory staff perspectives are crucial.
  • Dutch and English language is a must
