Job Description

  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks and policies across the organisation.
  • Ensure the company adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements within the retail industry.
  • Set Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy and uphold the company's legal, regulatory, ethical standards & reputation.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Monitor compliance performance and report findings to senior management.
  • Work closely with internal departments to address compliance issues.
  • Direct audits and regulatory inquiries where necessary.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the retail sector.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and ethical standards throughout the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Compliance Director should have:

  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements within the retail industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in leading compliance audits and managing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
