Job Description

Roles and responsibilities:

Strategy & projects:

* Assist CEO in the formulation and implementation of specific initiatives for the Group, with accountability for the execution and monitoring of these projects

* Participate in the development of the strategic roadmap for the BUs and support the BUs in the monitoring and review of the plan

* Assist senior management in the formulation of the strategy for the Group and project manage select interdependent projects being driven by the Group. The scope of projects is broad and may include set up of new BU, new product development for an existing BU and marketing initiatives

* Lead research and analysis of high-priority projects surrounding corporate strategy and development

* Lead special and strategic projects from conception to implementation, including planning and managing cross-functional or cross-BU teams involved:

- For administrative projects, this will include thinking through and setting policies as applicable

- For business related projects, it will involve the preparation of feasibility studies / business plans

- Manage internal communications from the CEO's office, ensuring that these communication flows are well structured & delivered in a sophisticated and engaging manner

Centralised support services:

* Oversee the operations of the centralised support services, with regular reporting to the CEO, and assist in rolling-out these support services to BUs, from a strategic and financial perspective

* Manage specific teams within the group (Project Management, Research & Analysis), with accountability for work streams being undertaken by these teams

* Coach junior colleagues on financial analysis and modelling, as needed for specific engagements

Financial work streams:

* Track and provide analytical reports on the financial performance of BUs

* Lead the financial management work streams for the holding company, including responsibility for budgeting, billings, cost recharge and consolidation

The Successful Applicant

* Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management or other relevant field. Professional qualification preferred

* At least 8 - 10 years' professional experience in management consulting / corporate finance / financial planning & analysis

* Expert project management skills, i.e., being organized, showing attention to details, maintaining a realistic balance among multiple priorities, and following up to ensure timely deliverables

* Strong business acumen

* Dynamic, flexible and proactive executive who welcomes change and challenges the status quo

* Up to date with digital communication, social media and platforms

* Focused on execution and successful achievement of outcomes (results-oriented)

* Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion

* Good interpersonal skills and able to build positive long-term relationships with multiple stakeholders
