The COO shall provide efficient and effective operationalization of the organization's strategies. He collaborates with CEO in setting and driving the Bank's vision, business and operational strategies. He ensures optimization of the processes and resources under his organization to enable the Bank to meet its goals and strategic imperatives and deliver on profitability targets.

Job Description

  • Supports and collaborates with the President and CEO in developing strategic plans that will ensure achievement of the Bank's objectives. Oversees the day-to-day implementation and operationalization of these strategic plans.
  • Ensures the efficient optimization of the Bank's enabling and operational functions, i.e. Operations, Collections and ROPA Management, Retail Banking, Liability Products and Alternative Channels, Operational Excellence, Consumer Affairs, to meet the overall financial objectives of the Bank.
  • Translates the Bank's strategy into actionable goals with key performance indicators to ensure alignment with short-term plans and long-term objectives in tandem with the President and CEO.
  • Builds and optimizes the alternative channels to execute strategies that directly impact customer uptake and revenue growth and overall profitability for the Bank.
  • Oversees the continuous evaluation, improvement, streamlining and/or enhancement of the Bank's business and operational policies, processes and procedures. Monitors methods for improving quality, efficiency and productivity, cost reduction, profitability and control measures to achieve continuous business growth.

The Successful Applicant

A succesful candidate should have:

  • Several years of experience in managing large scale organizations
  • Good domain knowledge of lending and/or car insurance
  • Track record of delivery operational excellence improvements
  • High degree of executive communication and stakeholder management
