Job Description
- Operations and Business Development: Oversee day-to-day operations including financial management, resource allocation, and risk assessment. Drive business development efforts, exploring opportunities to raise external funding and expand the venture's reach.
Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the Venture Capital firm and the management team to develop and execute the overall strategic direction of the venture. Drive the creation of business plans, set objectives, and establish key performance indicators. Adapt strategies as needed to achieve growth and sustainability.
Partnership Management: Foster and maintain strategic relationships with partners, clients, and stakeholders. Collaborate with the parent company and leverage available resources to support the venture's objectives.
Team Leadership and Talent Development: Provide effective leadership to the venture team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Mentor and develop team members, promoting their professional growth and creating a cohesive and motivated workforce.
Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the CFO and finance team to ensure financial stability, effective budgeting, and accurate reporting. Monitor financial performance, implement controls, and make informed decisions to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree
- Extensive experience in venture capital, start-ups, Consultancy or related fields, with a strong track record of success.
- Knowledge of ESG principles is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in driving business growth and leading successful operations.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, clients, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both in Japanese (native) and English (conversational or higher)
What's on Offer
The base salary for this position ranges from 10-15 million yen annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, a performance-based stock option plan offering 10-20% of stock will be provided.
