Job Description

Directly reporting to the Corporate Communications Director (who is also Executive Committee Member), the professional will be accountable for:

  • Providing strategic Corporate Relations support at the country level, supporting the business's licence to operate and grow
  • Managing projects/initiatives to leverage company's brand and reputation in the country, making a positive impact on the local society and communities where the business operates
  • Supporting key stakeholder relations activities at the country level, including input to plans
  • Supporting Media Relations (Public Relations) for the country, in line with guidance from media policy
  • Enabling alignment via working in partnership with Line of Businesses, Government Relations, Health and Safety & Environment, Legal, Internal Communications and other related functions
  • Ensuring on time support/direction to the business leaders on crisis management
  • Providing support on integrating non-technical risks

The Successful Applicant

  • 10-15 years of experience gained in corporate relations, external relations, media relations and/or public relations
  • Media agency/journalism background would bring an advantage
  • Regulated market experience would bring an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder/conflict management and collaboration skills is a must
  • Analytic, business acumen and results driven, able to give strategic advice/guidance to business via reinforcing trust and confidence among key decision makers
  • Able to establish "Subject Matter of Expertise" perception in the organisation
  • Strong challenge seeker, passionate, courageous, resilient, comfortable with ambiguity and willingness to learn and transform
  • Excellent English language skills
