About Our Client
Our client is a globally renowned advocacy-based NGO with strong presence in Asia. Given their restructuring and re-alignment on the overall country and regional structure to cater the ongoing discussions around hot topics like ESG and human rights etc, they are in process of looking for a country lead in Thailand/India/Indonesia.
Reporting to the APAC Head, you will be responsible for the in-country (Thailand/India/Indonesia) overall management to ensure that the company is ready to grow to next level.
Being the focal point of your respective countries, you will be driving content and marketing campaign with your team (that is a highly efficient and lean one) with ultimate goal to draw public awareness on various social issues.
On top of this, you will also be responsible for liaising with relevant stakeholders like corporate, government, media and KOLs to ensure that the relevant issues would be brought forward and properly addressed.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful, you need to speak the local language in your respective countries with strong understanding about local culture and local stakeholders' dynamics.
Ideally speaking, you should be someone who has strong passion and interest in social issues like ESG, human rights, D&I etc. Leadership experience is required while you should be a digital savvy individual given the advocacy-based nature of the NGO.
Prior NGO experience will be preferred but individuals with proven track record working in digital/tech-oriented company at commercial/corporate communications/public affairs capacity will also be considered.
