This will encompass identifying new business opportunities, maintaining a cohesive approach to all functional areas, planning and monitoring of the country's budget, develop relationships with business partners and end customers; strengthen competitive advantages and consolidate the team to achieve the expected financial results.

Job Description

  • Define country strategy to grow product finance, cash lending, and new businesses, leading sales and operations functions of business in one country.
  • Determine country business strategy, oversee its implementation and follow up the budget to meet committed financial goals and the achievement of strategy, included own P&L.
  • Develop relationships with important stakeholders in the country to bring in new business/grow
  • Develop and organize the country team following proper compliance. Working closely with product, engineering, risk, finance, and HR functions, ensuring that cross-functional initiatives are delivered expeditiously.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Country Manager PH should have:

  • MBA (from US school ideally) and Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of Sales experience in high-performance operations networks within the retail and/or financial sectors.
  • Experience establishing and fostering strong relationships with potential partners and customers, within an in-depth understanding of the country environment.
  • Strong presentation and communications skills, competent translating technical features into business value.
  • Willingness to be deep in the details while also being able to create and communicate higher level strategy.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset is essential for this role along with change management skills necessary to guide teams through transitions.
  • Fintech experience (nice to have)
  • Corporate strategy or 0-1 experience in start-ups
