About Our Client

Our client has an extensive global footprint as a market leader in their respective industry, Asia and particularly Greater China is a significant coverage location. Hong Kong is the regional head office where the strategic initiatives and business vision planning is conducted. The most ideal candidate should come from a strong industry sector in the FMCG and/or retail sector and has a proven track record in a dynamic IT scope i.e. have previously led sizeable transformation and digital projects at a regional level.

Job Description

  • Provide strategic leadership in developing the IT and Digital strategy and business plan for the organisation
  • Act as a change agent in business transformation initiatives and business partner to cross functional business partners in driving results
  • Take full accountability of the ongoing IT programs and capabilities to ensure this best represents organisational needs
  • Coach and develop the current IT team in the region to ensure talent acquisition and development is in the best shape to contribute to company's success
  • Identify and provide recommendations for process improvement and automation in order to increase efficiency and reduce cost
  • Take a pro active approach to share best practices, latest technology tools to business partners to influence buy-in
  • Occasional travel will be involved

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related discipline. Candidates with a Master's degree will be a plus
  • At least 18-20 years of solid IT experience within FMCG and/or retail sectors with a minimum of 5-8 years in a senior management or regional management position
  • Must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of progression, high performance in a fast paced matrix working environment
  • Proven IT experience relating to digital technology and business transformation in sizeable MNCs
  • Demonstrate business leadership with strong influencing skills across multicultural teams and cross functional business partners
  • Able to add value through knowledge from emerging technological tools, including but not limited to AI, IoT and e-commerce
  • Hold high levels of integrity and professionalism to act as a role model as part of senior management
  • Prior background in working with individuals with a diverse background and exhibit an international mindset
