The Director Digital Assets Consulting (m/f/d) will take the lead in shaping and executing high-impact consulting projects at the intersection of digital assets, financial services and regulation. You'll guide major financial institutions-including banks, crypto-asset service providers, payment firms, and fintechsthrough the successful implementation of key regulatory frameworks such as MiCAR, DORA, KWG, WpIG, and ZAG.

Job Description

  • Leading and managing complex regulatory projects with a focus on licensing, governance, and compliance
  • Advising executive boards and management teams on strategic regulatory positioning and business model alignment
  • Taking professional responsibility for project teams, mentoring consultants, and supporting their career development
  • Designing regulatory target operating models, organizational structures, and policy frameworks
  • Reviewing and ensuring the quality of regulatory submissions and supporting documentation
  • Monitoring emerging regulations and assessing their strategic implications
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to business development and proposal work
  • Supporting the ongoing enhancement of the company's service portfolio and representing the firm at industry events

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree or equivalent
  • At least several years of relevant professional experience in consulting or an in-house regulatory function within the financial sector
  • In-depth understanding of financial regulation, particularly MiCAR, KWG, WpIG, DORA, and ZAG
  • Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, stay calm under pressure, and deliver practical, solution-oriented results
  • Strong interest in financial innovation, especially in blockchain-based business models and digital finance technologies
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to high-quality work
  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
