Job Description

Lead, inspire, and manage a globally distributed engineering organisation, ensuring technical excellence, motivation, and development of 80+ professionals.Translate strategic product ambitions into robust project plans, working across disciplines and geographies to ensure timely delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions.Ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with customer needs, internal stakeholders, and business development objectives.Manage the global engineering budget and allocate resources in line with both short-term priorities and long-term road-map.Maintain strong relationships with manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management to support scalable and sustainable product development.Stay ahead of technological trends in mechatronics and automotive systems; integrate emerging tools, technologies, and processes into team capabilities.Safeguard compliance with international safety and industry regulations.Embed a culture of continuous improvement, intellectual curiosity, and operational excellence within the department.

The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in automotive product development or a related mechatronic environment.
  • Proven track record managing global teams across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Deep knowledge of product lifecycle processes, automotive quality systems, and agile development methods.
  • Familiarity with software, electronics, and actuator systems.
  • Strong strategic mindset: capable of balancing execution with long-term team and capability development.
  • Experience working directly with or within OEM environments; understanding of rapid prototyping and customer interaction cycles.
  • Naturally collaborative, low-ego leader with high emotional intelligence and strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a high-speed, global, multi-cultural environment.
