Job Description

This is a rare chance to lead a global, highly visible finance function at a soon‑to‑be public company while driving transformation through automation, GenAI, and modernized reporting on a truly international scale.Lead all global consolidation, financial reporting governance, and corporate-level accounting processes for a newly separated, multinational Mobility business operating in 22 countries. This includes oversight of U.S. GAAP consolidation, foreign currency translation, global COA governance, outsourced international accounting providers, and delivering audit-ready results for SEC and statutory reporting.

The role is both highly technical and strategic, with a mandate to modernize processes using automation and GenAI tools.Key Responsibilities1. Global Consolidation Leadership

  • Own monthly, quarterly, annual consolidation for 25+ legal entities.
  • Review and approve elimination entries, intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments, equity roll‑forwards.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 830 (FX translation).
  • Validate subsidiary trial balances and deliver consolidated reporting packages for SEC, statutory, regulatory, and management reporting.



2. Governance & Controls

  • Maintain SOX‑compliant consolidation controls.
  • Document procedures, support external auditors, and remediate deficiencies.
  • Ensure discipline and accuracy across global accounting processes.



3. Outsourced International Accounting Oversight

  • Serve as primary corporate liaison to third‑party accounting provider.
  • Set SLAs, quality expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Review international financial packages for consistency and GAAP alignment.
  • Drive performance and continuous improvement.



4. Global Chart of Accounts (COA) Ownership

  • Govern COA structure, creation, deactivation, and changes across jurisdictions.
  • Ensure alignment and standardization to support efficient consolidation.
  • Partner with systems teams on ERP/reporting modernization.



5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Systems, Intercompany Accounting, and External Reporting.
  • Support automation and GenAI initiatives to modernize finance processes.



6. Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead consolidation team and country controllers.
  • Build a culture of accountability, accuracy, and process discipline.
  • Implement best practices to speed close cycles and improve reporting quality.

The Successful Applicant

  • CPA required, Master's preferred.
  • 15+ years progressive accounting experience (multinational, publicly traded, $1B+ revenue).
  • Deep expertise in:
    • U.S. GAAP consolidations
    • Foreign currency translation (ASC 830)
    • Intercompany eliminations
    • Equity accounting
    • COA governance
  • Experience managing outsourced accounting providers strongly preferred.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-growth, transformation-heavy environments.
