About Our Client

Our client is a global growing automotive supplier. The Director of Marketing is the decision maker for the European marketing plan and will be responsible for the costs and budget on a European level. We are looking for a creative Marketing Director who can set the marketing strategy and execute it across 20 counties and 6 regions.

Job Description

  • Steering the development and implementation of European marketing strategy
  • Driving the development of digital marketing and consumer marketing
  • Managing the development and execution of marketing approaches for B2B and B2C marketing, workshop concepts and service brand activities, campaigns, IP and brand management, online marketing and shared marketing services (marketing factory)
  • Acting as first point of contact for marketing topics within the European Group of the company
  • Consulting the market-level and regional marketing teams and the leadership teams in terms of marketing topics
  • Managing and coordinating European marketing activities, approaches and campaigns
  • Assuring a consistent and professional product, service and concept brand image and marketing for the company
  • Systematical development of company's core brands in the European group, with focus on brand value, brand awareness and brand image
  • Assuring and coordinating of all marketing activities for European workshop concept activities in alignment with the respective sales channel
  • Assuring and optimizing marketing processes, based on the defined standards
  • Ensuring the highest effectiveness on all marketing spends (include measuring impact and success)
  • Deciding on the European marketing plan and regional / local marketing guidance including guidance for
  • allocating European, regional and local marketing budget
  • Leading and steering employees within the direct reporting line of 6 professionals
  • Assuring a solid collaboration between the European function and market-level organizations
  • Managing the European marketing budgets (spends and invests)
  • Steering the overall yearly budgeting process (European and market-level)
  • Aligning the marketing budget with key interface functions (Product Management, Private Label, Sales, Communications)

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in business administration, with a clear focus on marketing
  • 10+ years of relevant professional global marketing experience
  • Deep (functional) expertise in marketing
  • Strong experience in B2B & B2C marketing, hands-on experience in digital marketing also being crucial
  • Team leadership experience and experience in matrix organization is an asset
  • Ability to manage complexity in an international and dynamic build up environment
  • Conceptual and analytical skills, strategic thinking and strong business acumen with strong presentations skills
  • Fluent in English, German would be a strong asset
