Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms and contracts.
  • Oversee the procurement processes ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals, promoting a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Continually review and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and shifts in the industrial and manufacturing industry.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure contract conditions are met.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director Strategic Sourcing should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of supply chain processes and sourcing strategies.
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment.
