About Our Client
Our client is a global growing automotive supplier operating in 20+ European Countries.
Job Description
- Identifying potential optimization in transport flows and incoterms, including globally sourced products
- Identifying and disseminating guidelines and best practices for transportation improvements
- Coordinating the execution of European transport optimizations
- Supporting the sustainability agenda
- Initiating cross border transport initiatives which reduce overall transport costs and improve service
- Actively develop, coach and mentor the transport design team and ensure interaction and alignment with regional/
- area transport teams
- Managing the long-term transportation capacity planning in close alignment with Supply Chain Planning
- Analysing inbound flows, incoterms and potential model changes (e.g. consolidation hub) to drive structural and continuous transport improvements
- Coordinating the implementation of inbound changes and transport optimization and ensure benefit realization
- Defining guidelines and collect and share best practices for structural inter-DC and outbound transport optimization
- Identifying and drive structural optimizations in import & export logistics, components logistics and reverse logistics (e.g. cross-country backhaul)
The Successful Applicant
- 10 years' experience in managing large transport fleets inhouse via 3PLs, transport capacity planning and optimization
- Relevant educational background
- Team leadership and management experience in an international context
- Strong organizational skills at all levels and proven analytical capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English
