Exciting opportunity Emerging Markets Financial Institutions Relationship VP / Director with a market leading, global corporate & investment bank in London
Purpose of Job
This role will be responsible for the coverage of a portfolio of the Financial Institutions sector ("FI sector") including commercial banks, state-owned banks, multilaterals/ECA and other non-bank financial institutions such as PE funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies and specialist finance companies in emerging market in EMEA with the aim of 1) designing and implementing the strategy for these names, 2) originating a wide range of transactions for products offered by the Bank, The Bank (The Bank's securities arm) and other relevant group entities and 3) strengthening the relationship with FI clients.
The role of Director exists to lead in marketing activities, origination of new business, execution of transactions and providing strategic and business development support to senior management in delivering the team, unit and department's budget and objectives.
The role may require supervision and/or training of junior staff and involvement multiple teams of internal and external staff in changing and high-pressure situations to deliver results.
Responsible for the coverage of a portfolio of the Financial Institutions sector ("FI sector") including commercial banks, state-owned banks, multilaterals/ECA and other non-bank financial institutions such as PE funds, pension funds, insurance companies and specialist finance companies in emerging market in EMEA.
Leading deal teams in the marketing for, origination of and execution of transactions.
Supervise the preparation of credit applications and help to train and supervise more junior staff in that role.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Significant knowledge and experience of corporate finance theory, practice, risk analysis, credit, execution and documentation applicable to FI sector (including non-bank financial institutions).
- Products will include loans, DCM, ECM, derivatives, fixed income sales, FX, portfolio solutions, etc
- Strong numerical and financial skills essential and financial modelling experience.
- Good knowledge of financial institutions customers and clients for marketing purposes and the ability to work with and understand customer needs - the role would be expected to have its own network of customers and other industry players.
- A significant element of leadership experience for transactions and of managing junior staff.
- Previous experience of working in corporate finance in FI sector in a relevant institution (bank, advisor, industry etc).
- The ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel under pressure and to time constraints with significant changes.
- The ability to work well with colleagues in multiple roles and at most levels of seniority across EMEA and other regions.
