Job Description

  1. Strategic Development:
  • Design, implement and supervise acquisition strategies for ferrous waste in Europe, aligned with the company's objectives and market demands.
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities, considering aspects of quality, volume, costs and sustainability.
  1. Commercial Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers throughout the supply chain, negotiating terms, prices and conditions for the acquisition of ferrous waste.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as production, logistics and finance, to ensure a constant flow of raw materials.
  1. Market Analysis and Trends:
  • Monitor the European ferrous waste market, analyze trends, prices and conditions, and anticipate significant changes that may affect the acquisition strategy.
  • Carry out analysis of costs, profitability and risks associated with the acquisition of materials.
  1. Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance:
  • Guarantee compliance with environmental regulations and standards in all stages of acquisition of ferrous waste.
  • Promote sustainable practices in the supply chain, promoting the circular economy and reducing environmental impact.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in sales, acquisitions or commercial management in the steel industry, with a focus on the acquisition of ferrous waste.
  • In-depth knowledge of the European ferrous waste market, including suppliers, prices, market conditions and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a multidisciplinary environment, managing relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Understanding of sustainable practices and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility.
