About Our Client

Our client is a well-recognized an Investment firm headquartered in Warsaw/Poland. They are professional investment entity specialising in the acquisition of the family-owned businesses with growth potential, supporting portfolio companies with competences to professionalise and scale-up. For a new venture, we are seeking an experienced CFO who, alongside the new owner, will lead the ambitious development plan of the company, with potential for further geographical expansion. This role involves partnering with the business to drive value creation, overseeing complex projects, including the establishment of a new production facility and M&A.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and forward-thinking Finance Director - Board Member to support the company in strengthening its market position. As a CFO, you will act as a partner, providing high-quality financial services for a production company and developing relationships with multiple individuals, including those from a private equity company (the 100% shareholder). The role will be based in the Tri-City / close to Gdańsk, Pomeranian voivodeship.

Job Description

  • Co-creation and implementation of financial and business strategies, participation in company development initiatives
  • Close collaboration with the Investment Fund, CEO, and other management members in enhancing the company's value
  • Taking a lead role in budgetary planning and management for the establishment of a new production facility
  • Collaboration with a general contractor to ensure the successful execution of the entire investment project; oversight of financial aspects related to the project budget, including cost control measures and adherence to financial parameters
  • Support for the continued dynamic growth of the organization in terms of market share both in Poland and internationally
  • Responsibility for creating and delivering high-quality managerial information, analyses, recommending business scenarios
  • Board-level work, strategic planning, creating simulations and business models, and advising on future investments based on them
  • Management of the company's working capital, oversight of sales efficiency and product profitability; close collaboration with other company departments as a Business Partner; Crucially, responsible for managing the company's liquidity by utilizing available forms of financing such as credit, leasing, etc.
  • Participation in initiatives focused on analyzing sales results, margins, and shaping pricing policies
  • Act as a co-pilot in further digitalisation and automation of the company's processes
  • Development of the Management Information System with a focus on ERP/BI tools
  • Create the new reporting process in the company, defining new priorities, and preparing a plan for new implementations
  • Create a professional finance team, including Controlling, to enhance the overall financial management visibility and capabilities of the organization

The Successful Applicant

  • Educated to university degree level
  • Experience in cooperation with a Private Equity environment would be an added value
  • Several years of experience in the position of Finance Director (Board level) in dynamically growing companies is a must; preferred organizations in the manufacturing sector
  • Experience in driving vale creation and change management projects is a key
  • Successful track record in building, nurturing and leading teams - a leader, practicing value-based leadership, with high potential
  • IT literacy - experience with ERP systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills to immediately establish the necessary credibility on all the levels of the organization
  • Ability to motivate and influence others without direct line authority
  • Strong abilities to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders' interests
  • Project management experience, excellent organizational skills, with ability to set priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strategic view, strong conceptual skills
  • Fluency in English and Polish is a must
