About Our Client

Maximising the financial capacity of the Group will be crucial in future years as we seek to deliver on our priorities: the safety of our existing residents, the resilience and well being of our communities and building many more homes. The delivery of these priorities needs to be supported by effective financial control. The role of Finance Director - Group Financial Control is fundamental to this.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will be a key member of the of the organisations senior leadership team. You will develop, lead and manage the Financial Control, Financial Planning, Payroll and Procurement functions for the organisation, providing robust financial control and insightful commentary and analysis to inform and enable the achievement of Peabody's strategic objectives.

Some key responsibilities of the role include;

  • Providing strategic financial leadership and guidance to the business by planning and delivering services in line with corporate strategy.
  • To ensure the production of high-quality financial information that promotes excellent financial management: ensuring stakeholders understand our financial performance and the risks and opportunities.
  • Lead delivery of the Group's forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning activities
  • Managing the delivery of annual and quarterly statutory and regulatory reporting.
  • Overseeing the production of the annual financial statements, managing the audit process and building a relationship with the external auditors.
  • Helping drive Procurement for the business, increasing value for money and compliance.
  • Providing effective leadership, being performance focused and empowering your team to deliver

The Successful Applicant

You will be a CCAB qualified or the equivalent with a proven track record of achievement and the ability to drive and manage a diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing large teams. You will have ideally led several successful year end processes and developed or been part of developing a successful business partnering function in a previous role.

What's on Offer

£120,000 to £135,000, depending on experience, plus benefits

Based in London (2-3 days a week office based /homeworking)
