This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving strategic growth and governance across our Japan business.

Job Description

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Japan leadership team, providing financial insight and commercial guidance on key decisions and initiatives.
  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams including finance, payroll, contractor services, and office administration.
  • Ensure strong financial governance, owning the financial control framework and ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
  • Manage financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support business growth.
  • Oversee payroll and contractor operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proactive management of contractor revenue streams.
  • Engage with regional and group finance teams, acting as the primary in-country liaison on all finance-related matters.
  • Drive operational efficiency by managing vendor relationships and improving processes across business support functions.
  • Lead and support strategic change projects, working closely with global and regional teams to assess, implement, and manage transformation initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Director should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with professional certifications being an advantage.
  • Proven experience in financial leadership roles within the business services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and stakeholders.
