About Our Client

Our client, a leader in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Finance Director to drive financial strategy and support business development. This role involves overseeing the annual budgeting process, overseeing the controlling procedures, managing cash position as well as participating in the project financing process. The Finance Director will play a crucial role in collaborating with investors and funds to secure financing and effectively communicate financial strategies, working closely with senior management to align goals and drive growth.

Job Description

  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate forecasts that reflect realistic business expectations
  • Ensure all financial records are meticulously maintained in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify viable investment opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for capital allocation
  • Oversee accounting functions and controlling processes to ensure financial accuracy and support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with investors and financiers to secure funding and communicate financial strategies effectively
  • Foster a culture of excellence within the finance team through mentorship and professional development opportunities
  • Translate complex financial data into actionable insights, delivering clear reports and presentations for strategic discussions
  • Continuously monitor the financial landscape to ensure compliance with industry regulations and adopt best practices
  • Engage with various departments to align financial strategies with business goals, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

  • Extensive experience as a Finance Manager, Finance Director or in other senior financial leadership roles
  • Strong background in finance, accounting and controlling with a proven track record in financial strategy and operations
  • Accountability for key financial areas such as accounting and controlling
  • Previous experience in a Big 4 firm, with exposure to top-tier financial advisory and audit practices (nice to have)
  • Proven experience working with funds and investors on financial reporting, capital allocation and investment analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on enhancing financial performance and operational efficiency
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities with a history of leading diverse finance teams
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems and advanced analytics platforms
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly convey complex financial data to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
  • Advanced proficiency in Polish and English (both written and spoken)
