About Our Client

For our client, an internationally expanding company in the telecom sector, we are currently seeking a candidate for the position of Finance Director for their office located in the center of Warsaw. The company prides itself on having a compact team of experts and managers. Therefore, our client is searching for an individual who is operationally hands-on and detail-oriented.

Job Description

  • Assume full responsibility for overseeing the company's accounting and tax policies
  • Implement strategies to optimize both tax policies and the broader accounting domain
  • Drive initiatives to reduce costs effectively
  • Provide supervision for the finance, accounting, controlling, and IT departments, focusing on optimizing the accounting-payroll system
  • Develop a comprehensive reporting plan
  • Supervise the preparation of (consolidated) financial statements and reports
  • Ensure accurate reporting across all areas, including investment settlements and fixed assets
  • Regularly and efficiently provide data to the company's management
  • Optimize the structure of costs and asset levels through careful assessment
  • Prepare and communicate a detailed plan for budgeting
  • Coordinate the budgeting process across the entire organization
  • Deliver comprehensive reports on budget execution
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and potential risk areas

The Successful Applicant

  • Higher education in a relevant field: finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline
  • Minimum several years of experience in positions within audit firms (BIG 4, at the Manager+ or Semi-Manager level) or roles related to financial management in corporations. Experience as Deputy CFO or Head of Accounting/Finance is highly desirable
  • Experience in tax and audit, with a strong background in implementing tax strategies
  • Additional qualifications such as KIBR, ACCA, CIMA are advantageous
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting regulations, CIT, PIT, VAT
  • Knowledge of investment project evaluation and financial modeling
  • In-depth expertise in financial and managerial accounting
  • Strong analytical and data synthesis skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team management skills
  • Can-do attitude, problem-solving orientation, and attention to detail
  • Eagerness for professional development and achieving new heights
  • Fluency in English as a must have
