Steris is investing in its Finance function by adding this newly created Finance Manager position to provide support to the Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team, as they execute a strategic growth mandate.Job DescriptionThe Finance Manager will report to and partner closely with the Finance Director, to oversee daily finance operations, and manage the month-end reporting process.Your primary responsibility is co-ordinating the finance team to ensure all transactional and month-end finance duties are completed, as well as ensuring the accuracy of inventory accounting within the ANZ region, and taking responsibility for annual audit, tax filings and fixed assets management.Your role will also be responsible for the preparation of statutory financial statements for consolidation, tax reports, audit requirements and cash management. You will also serve as an important business partner for department heads and project managers, as part of the Annual Planning process and ongoing project profitability management.The Successful ApplicantCA/ CPA qualified.Ideal Background: Candidates with a background in financial accounting, audit and tax are preferred. Either having started their career in chartered accounting firm in audit or business services and complemented this by working in a senior accounting or finance manager position, in commerce & industry. Experience in publicly listed and multinational companies is preferred.Technical skills: Inventory accounting, transfer pricing, forex hedging and cash flow management are required skills for this role, as well as month-end financial reporting for an offshore headquarters. Exposure to tax return preparation, management of the annual audit and exposure to stakeholder management with the ability to influence decision making is also required.Behavioural Attributes: Leadership and a strong work ethic are both key skills for this role, as this individual will be mentored for career growth.
