Job Description

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have oversight across the end-to-end accounting function of the group in a wide-ranging, hands-on role, where no day will be the same.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting the CFO to prepare annual and half-year statutory accounts and other compliance-related documents.
  • Monthly management and operational reporting for the group.
  • Preparation of sales reports and data analysis to support the group's three main divisions.
  • Consolidation of group results, including international entities and foreign currencies.
  • Assisting the CFO with cashflow reporting, variance analysis and annual budget preparation. In addition to this, you will also assist with project-related work, including potential acquisitions and leading the integration and harmonisation of different financial systems.
  • System enhancement and strengthening of the group's data analytics capabilities.
  • Assisting with the group tax return and co-ordination of overseas tax compliance.
  • Oversight of the AR, AP and Payroll functions as well as inventory and stock management.
  • Other ad hoc project related work.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you will be CA / CPA qualified and have a minimum of several years' experience in a similar finance role. Driven by system improvements and best practice, you will have solid data analysis and management skills and excellent general computer literacy and be proficient in Excel and Xero (and/or a similar accounting package). You will have meticulous attention to detail and be technically astute across IFRS, statutory reporting and managing external audits. Those with experience across multi company consolidations and foreign currencies will be highly regarded, as would ASX experience, though not essential. An ability to work autonomously and a deadline driven approach, you will be self-motivated and work well in a close team environment. This role requires someone with a broad technical skillset that is happy to roll up their sleeves and be solutions focused. Strong communications, both verbal and written, will be essential for your success in this exciting role.
