Job Description

The Financial Controller - Construction will be responsible for:

  • Manage the month-end closings of the accounting and financial systems.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial statements and related schedules.
  • Plan and coordinate the annual audit of the financial statements, and other required audits.
  • Develop and monitor financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Partner with external Banking, Insurance, Surety, and Taxing Firms
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the company's accounting processes and systems.
  • Hire, train and develop accounting and other staff as needed to ensure the proper use of processes and systems.
  • Provide support to other users for all accounting applications.
  • Lead point of contact for all accounting / tax questions.
  • Review and develop processes that improves the efficiency of accounting and technology systems, employee productivity and data integrity.
  • Oversee the accounting services for additional entities/companies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • CPA preferred not essential
  • 10 + years of Accounting experience in the Construction sector
  • Proven leadership track record with a proven
  • Software Applications: Sage 300 CRE, Timberscan or similar products preferred
