Job Description

The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role as the strategic and commercial partner to the General Manager, responsible for the planning, directing and reporting for the performance of the Region. This role will provide critical decision support over as broad range of commercial issues to meet the Division's strategic business objectives.

You will lead a team of Finance and IT staff as well as being a hands-on business partner to all other department heads and subsidiary entities in the region.

Your mandate includes the preparation of statutory reports for all entities, annual audit, tax and consolidation for Head Office, as well as the budgeting, planning and reporting function for operations and commercial activities that drive the business.

You will also establish a strong customer-centric culture in finance, supporting the execution of the Company's growth plans across the region.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Background: Candidates with experience in managerial roles across financial and management accounting, ideally from medium to large companies will be best suited to this role. You will be a close business partner with other department heads and therefore need to have a deep understanding of interdepartmental dynamics, in a multinational corporation.

Technical skills: Strong technical accounting skills including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and planning, tax, and audit. Advanced stakeholder management and business partnering skills to support decision making and the business strategy. Staff management and professional development of a team, and the ability to build a team culture.

Behavioural attributes: Hendrickson are looking for an ambitious and inquisitive person to lead the finance function. A strategic thinker and collaborative relationship builder who can use their business acumen to help influence business decisions. A confident and calm leader, with a supportive approach to staff management.

Mandatory: CA/ CPA qualified and staff management experience.
