Trelleborg Marine Systems are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to join their team in Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and strategy within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

Job Description

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations for Trelleborg Marine Systems. Your role will encompass financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the company maintains strong financial health and compliance with corporate policies and Australian financial regulations.

You will work closely with senior management, providing financial insights that support decision-making and long-term business growth.

In this role, you will be expected to streamline financial processes and drive efficiencies across the organization. You will oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Additionally, you will manage cash flow, working capital, and risk assessment to support the company's financial stability. Your ability to analyze complex financial data and translate it into actionable recommendations will be crucial to their success.

You will also play a pivotal role in supporting strategic initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to business planning. This is a high-impact role that requires a hands-on approach, strategic thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

Trelleborg Marine are seeking a highly skilled finance professional with a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting and compliance. A CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification is preferred, along with experience in a senior finance role, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Your deep understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards ensures accuracy and compliance in all financial matter. Experience with IFRS-15, pertaining to revenue recognition is mandatory.

Beyond technical expertise, you bring excellent analytical and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders. You are proactive in identifying process improvements, managing financial risks, and contributing to strategic business growth.

Experience with financial software (AX Dynamics/ D365 is an advantage) and a hands-on approach to financial management will set you apart.
