About Our Client
Our client is a junior oil producing company expanding its activities in Africa.
Job Description
As Finance Director, you will be looking after the upstream activities in Cameroon. Reporting directly to the General Manager and to the Group CFO your responsibilities will include:
- developing an international finance & administration team, managing all financial and operational reporting and controls,
- providing leadership and responsibility for the financial reporting, ensuring integrity of all financial information, particularly JV accounting, budgeting and cash management,
- advising the operational team on the development of strategic financial plans for rapid operational expansion and improvements,
- managing external relationships with banks, tax and regulatory authorities, clients and suppliers.
The Successful Applicant
You have at least 10 years PQE having held a senior position in a multinational or oil and gas company. You have have in-depth knowledge of international (IFRS) accounting standards as well as experience of projects and or project financing.
A proven track record in budgeting and reporting. Experience of upstream hydro-carbon accounting would be an advantage. You have demonstrates a background of tight financial and administration management, board level interaction combined with excellent presentation skills, a hands-on attitude and a willingness to immerse yourself in detail.
Fluency in English is essential to succeed in this role.
